Clarke has spent 20 years learning to paint on location and capture the essence
of special places. While others use photography to freeze a moment in time to
paint later, C.D. prefers to work in the field, allowing him to record changing
light effects, subtle colors, and chance effects of weather and season which the
camera can miss or distort.
Coupled with his knowledge of shooting and fishing, which he has gleaned from decades as a sportsman himself, C.D. is especially qualified to paint commissioned sporting paintings which are accurate, beautiful and unique.
None of us can be in our favorite shooting and fishing haunts all the time. We can’t be in two places at once for one thing and sometimes life just gets in the way. C.D. captures those favorite places so they can be brought to mind and eye at any time in your home or office.
